We’re the Cepkauskas family.
As many of you know, my daughter, Emily, was born with a large hole at the center of her heart. In order to treat Emily’s condition she spent three and a half months at the hospital in the pediatric ICU. Many miles away from our home.
Thankfully, we were able to stay at a Ronald McDonald House near the hospital.
From the first moment we walked in we were welcomed with open arms. Ronald McDonald House became a place where we could relax, my son, Tyler, could play with other kids and we could always be close to Emily.
One of our favorite things to do together is play outside, but we weren’t able to play as much while Emily was sick, which is why we created the “Cepkauskas Chalk-a-Thon.” On Saturday, October 7th , we’re going to spend a day outside drawing with sidewalk chalk with our friends and family to help raise $2,000 for RMHC.
Please consider donating so we can give back to RMHC, and help families just like ours stay near their sick child and hopefully one day soon, they too can enjoy the outdoors with their family!
