SPHS Class of 1993 - 25th for a Cause

This is Cal (son of Caroline Corner)and Hannah (daughter of Marsha Councill). Cal has cancer (brain tumors) and continues to receive treatment at UCSF. Hannah has aplastic anemia that is refractory to medical therapy. She had an allogeneic bone marrow transplant on Sept. 21 at Johns Hopkins.
I've had the blessing to see the strength and love of both children and their families through photos and stories of their journeys through Facebook.
With their permission, both children and families suggested that Ronald McDonald House Charities would be a worthy choice for a fundraiser.
The reality is that many families simply cannot afford medical care and treatment, let alone the expenses for families who need to be close to the hospitals while their children are undergoing treatment. For parents who don’t live close to the medical care their child needs, there’s an added stress. Distance. Most families have to travel hours for treatment. Living expenses quickly add up. Long drives, lost jobs, worried siblings, sleeping in cars. Being far from family and friends. These are extra burdens no family should have to experience.
Thankfully, RMHC is able to help when it’s needed most. They keep families with sick children near to each other and the medical care and resources they need.
So, help Cal and Hannah raise funds #forRMHC and keep families together by donating today!
