Miles For Smiles Benefiting Ronald McDonald House of Kentuckiana
Family and friends. To benefit Ronald McDonald House of Kentuckiana, on August 4th I’m going to attempt the Worlds Toughest Riders Saddle Sore 1,000 motorcycle ride. The challenge is to ride 1,000 miles during a 24 hour consecutive time period or less. I look at this challenge as being the ultimate test in confidence, ability and endurance. I’ll be traveling from Louisville, KY to Charlotte, NC and back while riding through six states during my journey.
With your help, I’m looking to raise $2,500 in donations which 100% of contributions will go towards sponsorship of a guest room at Ronald McDonald House of Kentuckiana. I’ve volunteered with the RMH on many occasions and am grateful of how well they treat families locally and from all over the world.
Kentuckiana’s Ronald McDonald House keeps families close to each other and help provide the medical care they need, when they need it most. They surround families with hope and support and bring joy and a sense of normalcy to children as they heal.
In 2018 RMHCK served 1,612 families including parents, children receiving outpatient treatment, siblings and other family members. By easing the financial and emotional burdens of caregivers and by taking care of important practical needs, RMHCK allows parents to focus entirely on caring for their children. Outpatient children living at RMHCK can enjoy activities, special events, and making friends with other kids who have a mask, a feeding tube or a bald head just like them. RMHCK helps care for the entire family by offering: warmth, support, rest and comfort.
Please help me in support of reaching my goal for this great foundation.
