Welcome to Courtney's Team RMHC Fundraising Page!!!
I'm SO glad you're here!
Anyone who knows me well, knows that the Ronald McDonald House is a charity that will always be close to my heart! I consider the RMH "home", as our family lived in three of the RMH homes for five long months while our youngest son, Gray, battled for his life in the PICU nearby. Gray was just 2 months old when we discovered he had significant brain issues and a rare kidney syndrome. He underwent 9 surgeries, & countless procedures and was on manual dialysis around the clock while he waited to get well enough to come home, all in hopes of receiving his lifesaving kidney transplant. Sadly, Gray finished his battle on earth there at All Childrens Hospital at just 8 months old. We were able to stay together as a family at the RMH as Gray fought the hardest battle of his life. There will never be any way to repay the RMH for what they gave to our family, so all we can do now is find ways to give back in as many ways as possible!
So, On October 7th, I will be representing Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) at the 2018 Bank of America Chicago Marathon!! As a member of Team RMHC, I will be training, fundraising and ultimately RUNNING 26.2 miles to help keep families together!! I am SO excited yet terrified to undertake this endeavor to give back to this incredible organization!
Did you know just $25 can provide dinner for a family and $80 can give a family a room for a night? Your donation, of ANY amount, will not only help me achieve my goal, but will help families stay close to their children when they need it the most!
I would be honored for you to support my "Team Gray" in the many months to come! I covet your prayers, words of encouragement, CHEERS, and would be so grateful for any amount you feel lead to give in memory of our littlest boy, Gray Isenhour. He is my WHY. His life has forever changed mine, and with your help, his life will continue to touch so many families who are experiencing hardships like we did.
Thank you with all my heart, Courtney Tobin
