On October 8th, we will be representing Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) at the 2017 Bank of America Chicago Marathon! As a members of Team RMHC, we will be training, fundraising and ultimately running 26.2 miles to help keep families close.
This year Terry, Angela, Christine and Lynda have joined forces to run in the memory of Lynda's son Liam! Terry came up with this great idea and she even came up with the team name, Liam's Ladies. Lynda and her family lived in the Ronald McDonald House at the University of Chicago in 2006. At the age of 15 months Liam was diagnosed with a tumor in his brain stem. Over the course of 3 months, Liam was hospitalized undergoing numerous proceedures. During that time, Lynda lived at the Ronald McDonald House with her daughter Samantha. Unfortunately, in 2008 Liam lost his battle.
Terry, Angela, Christine and Lynda have decided to combine their love of running while helping families like Lynda's. Lynda will be running her 3rd marathon with RMHC, this is Terry's 2nd marathon with the charity and Angela and Christine's first.
Thank you for your donation and help in keeping famies close!
