On October 7th, we will be representing Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) at the 2018 Bank of America Chicago Marathon! As a members of Team RMHC, we will be training, fundraising and ultimately running 26.2 miles to help keep families together.
Did you know $25 can provide dinner for a family and $80 can give a family a room for a night? Your donation, of any amount, will not only help us achieve our goal, but will help children stay close to their families when they need it most!
Team Gray was formed to honor the memory of Courtney Tobin's youngest son, Gray, who spent much of his life in the PICU. At just two months of age, Gray was diagnosed with a rare kidney syndrome and brain issues. He was admitted to two different hospitals. Finally, he spent 5 months in St Pete, FL at All Children's Hospital in the PICU where he underwent 9 surgeries and countless procedures, including the removal of both his kidneys in hopes of making it to his lifesaving kidney transplant. His family stayed in two different RMH's there, so they could be close to him the entire time. Being two hours from home, it was an absolute lifesaver. Sadly, Gray finished his battle there on May 18th, 2014 at just 8 months and 4 days of life. His family wants nothing more than to honor his life by comforting others in the same way they were comforted.
Thank you for joining us and being Team Gray. We could not accomplish this crazy awesome, scary goal without you all!! Much love always, Team Gray
Team Gray Runners:
Courtney Tobin: aka, Gray's Mom. Also Evan & Miles' Mom, and Randall's wife:). Been running since 2009, but never attempted more than a few halves. Excited to undertake this big goal in honor of my littlest boy, my hero, and the strongest, most peaceful fighter I've ever known, my son Gray Isenhour. He is the reason I can never give up & the reason I want to give back. He has changed my life, and I want to do this to honor his memory. Plus, I really just want to put that 26.2 sticker over my 13.1!! hahaa! #TeamGray #CoyleStrong #TeamRMHC
