Chicago Marathon 2020 - Running for RMHC
On October 11th, I will be representing Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) at the 2020 Bank of America Chicago Marathon! As a member of Team RMHC, I will be training, fundraising and ultimately running 26.2 miles to help keep families together.
The Ronald McDonald House Charities provides countless benefits for families at times they need them most. My family was fortunate to have access to The Ronald McDonald House when my twin brother, Keenan, was born. The Ronald McDonald House allowed my parents to stay downtown and be close to Keenan while he prepared for, and ultimately underwent, open heart surgery at six weeks old. Having the support of the Ronald McDonald House during this time is something my family will never forget. This is the reason I have chosen to run for RMHC in October of 2020.
A few facts you might not know but might want to consider when donating. Did you know $25 can provide dinner for a family and $80 can give a family a room for a night? Your donation, of any amount, will not only help me achieve my goal, but will help children stay close to their families when they need it most!
Any donation is appreciated! As most of you know, running is not my forte so if you can’t donate, cheering is appreciated as well and will keep me going (and fundraising) until the big day in October.
