Welcome to Evan's Personal Page
As many of you are aware, I ran the Chicago Marathon last 3 years in memory of my son, Nolan Andrew Unger. This year, once again, I will be running the race in his name and hope to be able to help as many families as possible ease their burden when in a time of need. How will I do this you may ask?? Well, by running as a participant representing Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) is my answer, simple and straight forward. By running for and spreading the word of how RMHC helps families who can not afford to spend any of their precious time away from their loved ones is one of the best ways I can help. How can YOU help out you ask? It is as simple as the click of a button that gets you started. Yes, that orangey/yellowy DONATE NOW button on this page. Any amount ($25, $50, $100 or more) helps towards my goal of helping out families in need. Just like to the many unknown families that helped out our family back in 2001 when my family was in a time of need, RMHC and the RMH in St. Petersburg, FL was a blessing in disguise. Being able to stay that close to the Nolan and the hospital allowed us to spend as much time as possible with him. We did not know it, but now we do and #KeepFamiliesClose.
So, once again, on October 13, 2019, I will be representing RMHC at the Bank of America Chicago Marathon! As a member of Team RMHC, I will be training, fundraising and ultimately running 26.2 miles to help keep families close.
Since 1974, RMHC has been making children happier and healthier by keeping families together – giving them a place to rest and refresh. A place that feels like home.
You too can join RMHC's network of HOPE, STRENGTH and SUPPORT, by supporting my efforts to raise at least $1250 - $25 can provide dinner for a family, $80 can give a family a room for a night and $125 can fill up a playroom with toys. Your donation, of any amount, will not only help me achieve my goal, but will help children stay close to their families when they need it most!
