Thank you for visiting and considering a donation to my fundraiser for RMHC!
On October 11th, I will be representing Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) at the 2020 Bank of America Chicago Marathon for a second time! As a member of Team RMHC, I will be training, fundraising and ultimately running 26.2 miles to help keep families together.
In October 2017, I ran my first marathon for Team RMHC and swore it would be the last marathon I ever ran. The training was hard and time consuming, the race was excruciating. I found myself signing up for the 2018 race a couple weeks later. However, due to an injury to my IT band in June of that year, I was unable to continue training or running. I'm so excited to be back and raising money for a charity I feel so passionate about. RMHC was my sorority's (Alpha Delta Pi) philanthropy and having served as the philanthropy chair for my chapter, this charity is near and dear to my heart.
Ronald McDonald House Charities provide families with a variety of support systems. Whether it be through family rooms inside hospitals to provide solace, mobiles to provide care to those too far away from a doctor, or the houses to provide people a place to stay while their child is receiving essential care far away from home. Did you know $25 can provide dinner for a family and $80 can give a family a room for a night? Your donation, of any amount, will not only help me achieve my goal, but will help children stay close to their families when they need it most! Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for considering a donation to an amazing charity that helps those families in need.
