Marathon Miles for Mighty Magnolia
I am proud and honored to say I will be representing Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) at the 2019 Bank of America Chicago Marathon! As a member of Team RMHC, I will be training, fundraising and ultimately running 26.2 miles to help keep families together.
I have chosen to train, fund-raise, and run 26.2 miles for this amazing charitable organization. I am doing this to honor my family and other families who have been personally blessed by RHMC. In February 2018, my beautiful niece Magnolia (pictured here with me)decided to arrive well before the world was ready for her. Her premature condition led to a very lengthy stay in the NICU. Due the level of care she required and the location of the hospital RHMC made it possible for her parents to be there for her morning, noon and night if they wanted. They did not have to worry about commuting back and forth or even meal planning. There was a Ronald McDonald House right across the street from the hospital. RHMC gave my family peace in a very uncertain time. Since telling others my family’s story I have heard of so many families and friends who have had loved ones touched by this fantastic charity. It is for Magnolia, my family, and all the others I will honor during my training and running of the Chicago Marathon on October 13, 2019.
For just $25 you can provide dinner for a family and $80 can give a family a room for a night? Your donation, of any amount, will not only help me achieve my goal, but will help children stay close to their families when they need it most!
