Next year I'll be 40....what a better way to celebrate!
On October 13th, I will be representing Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) at the 2019 Bank of America Chicago Marathon! As a member of Team RMHC, I will be training, fundraising and ultimately running 26.2 miles to help keep families together.
RMHC has been especially important to my family. The search for a diagnosis when my daughter was sick was difficult. Now we know she has a rare genetic disease called Hereditary Angioedema (HAE) and she is doing great on therapy.
However, prior to a diagnosis we spent 3 years searching for answers and Lillian spent many days in the hospital (over 10 ICU visits, countless ER visits and 10 days in a row at a hospital 500 miles from our home.) During the most difficult times RMHC provided us a place to stay, support for my family and most importantly support for Lillian. This is a charity that brought a smile to her face even in her most trying times.
I am so thankful for the RMHC and know first hand how it can help families. Your donation, of any amount, will not only help me achieve my goal, but will help children stay close to their families when they need it most!
