Welcome to My Personal Page
There are lights that shine so brightly, their time on earth seems much too quick. Although, I knew this after 15 years of PICU nursing, it did not truly reach me until my dear friends had to say goodbye to their 18 month old son. Jack was one of these amazingly bright lights. In a few weeks I run my first marathon as a way to continue to shine his light . His parents could not have picked a better charity to support in his honor. The Ronald McDonald Houses provide so much more than a place to stay close to your sick child. This charity keeps families together in their darkest times. Moms and Dads of sick kids know they have a place to feed, shelter, do laundry, and let their other children play.
On October 13th, 2019, I will run the Bank of America Chicago Marathon. As a member of Team RMHC, I will be training, fundraising and ultimately running 26.2 miles to help keep families together.
How can you help?
1. Contribute by making a donation (I must raise $1750 to participate)
2. Cheer us to the finish on race day
Did you know $25 can provide dinner for a family and $80 can give a family a room for a night? Your donation, of any amount, will not only help me achieve my goal, but will help children stay close to their families when they need it most!
Thanks for your support,
