Welcome to Suzie Collin's Page
In 2014, I was on track to run the Dallas half marathon and three weeks before the race I broke my back. When I heard the news, it broke my heart and killed all motivation. Training and running a marathon is going to be challenging to say the least, but there are goals you never give up and there are certain reasons that push you to obtain those goals.
I know this is going to take hard work, dedication and be painful but even as daunting as this is for me, this is nothing in comparison to the daily challenges families and children face when dealing with serious illnesses. RMHC provide the opportunity for families to be together and feel more comfortable when a loved one is in the hospital, which is so helpful during those stressful times.
On October 13th, I will be representing Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) at the 2019 Bank of America Chicago Marathon! As a member of Team RMHC, I will be training, fundraising and ultimately running 26.2 miles to help keep families together.
Did you know $25 can provide dinner for a family and $80 can give a family a room for a night? Your donation, of any amount, will not only help me achieve my goal, but will help children stay close to their families when they need it most!
