On October 11th, I will be representing Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) at the 2020 Bank of America Chicago Marathon! As a member of Team RMHC, I will be training, fundraising and ultimately running 26.2 miles to help keep families together.
I started training for the Chicago Marathon because I'm a quarter-life crisis cliche. Training is actually kind of fun. Not fun like when you laugh hard with a friend, but satisfying. I'm no where near running the distance my friends Caleb or Jose run, but even a four mile run in the morning relaxes me for the day. When my roommate left her shoes in the kitchen last week, instead of writing an angry text, I just picked them up. Running is a powerful drug, an antidepressant, and I am becoming addicted!
Did you know $25 can provide dinner for a family and $80 can give a family a room for a night? Your donation, of any amount, will not only help me achieve my goal, but will help children stay close to their families when they need it most!
