Welcome to Justin Bingham's Fundraising Page for the 2020 Chicago Maraton!
Two years ago I was fat, out of shape, and not pleased with my health. I knew changes need to be made so I turned to running. Since then I have developed a passion that I plan to continue the rest of my life.
I enjoy running in events at distances from 5 Ks to my first full marathon last fall. Recently, the idea to run for a charity was brought to my attention. I loved the idea and started to research charities immediately when I came across Ronald McDonald House Charities and their affiliation with the Chicago Marathon.
I am fortunate to not been in need of the services RMHC provides but as a father of three, my heart breaks for families with a sick child. Ronald McDonald House takes care of housing, food, and other necessities enabling families to focus on their sick child. This allows families to stay together during a difficult time when family is needed most.
On October 11th, 2020 I will be representing Ronald McDonald House Charities at the 2020 Bank of America Chicago Marathon! As a member of Team RMHC, I have committed to a goal of raising at least $1,250 for RMHC and ultimately running 26.2 miles to help keep families together.
I also pledge to match whatever the largest single donation ends up being. I started the donating off with $125. I would love to increase this to match a larger donation :)
As you consider a donation, did you know $25 can provide dinner for a family and $80 can give a family a room for a night? Your tax deductible donation, of any amount, will not only help me achieve my goal, but will help children stay close to their families when they need it most!
Also, if interested please provide your e-mail address to receive periodic updates on my fundraising efforts and training as I prepare for the 2020 Chicago Marathon. Even if you are not able to donate but would like to receive my e-mails, I would be happy to add you to the list!
