Welcome to My Personal Page
On October 11th, 2020, I will be representing Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) and Alpha Delta Pi Sorority at the 2020 Bank of America Chicago Marathon! As a member of Team RMHC, I will be training, fundraising, and ultimately running 26.2 miles to help keep families together during the toughest of times. During several years of my own difficult medical battle due to ovarian tumors, I spent a lot of time in hospitals. I had a long hiatus from my beloved sport of running because of it, and I personally never thought I'd run a marathon again. However, I'm so lucky to be given this opportunity through ADPi and Team RMHC, and I'm so thrilled to share my journey with you! I look forward to making all of you proud in Chicago, and providing hope and support for children and families when they need it most.
The Chicago Marathon is very special, as it will be my 5th marathon, and my first run in a World Major Marathon. It is the 4th-largest race by number of finishers worldwide, which really means it’s one big party! Most importantly, since the charity program was officially established in 2002, more than 106,000 runners have raised over $207 million for local, national and global causes, including this one very dear to my heart. Since 1979, Alpha Delta Pi Sorority has been committed to serving children and families impacted by Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) programs including the Ronald McDonald House and Ronald McDonald Family Room. Today, more than 347 Ronald McDonald Houses and 192 Ronald McDonald Family Rooms in 60 countries help keep families with seriously ill or injured children together when they need it most. Most Alpha Delta Pi collegiate chapters and alumnae associations spend their time and energy volunteering in these locations.
Just $25 can provide dinner for a family, and $80 can give a family a room for a night. Your donation, of ANY amount, will not only help my team achieve its goal, but will help children stay close to their families when they need it most! Donations are tax-deductible and most major corporations will match. If you have any questions, please contact me at email@example.com.
