Donate to Ronald McDonald House and support my 26.2 marathon journey through Chicago
On October 11th, I will be representing Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) at the 2020 Bank of America Chicago Marathon! As a member of Team RMHC, I will be training, fundraising and ultimately running 26.2 miles to help keep families together.
This will be my third time running the Chicago Marathon. This time I would like to raise money for a wonderful cause. As many of you know, Miranda (my youngest daughter) had surgery at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital at age 12 for severe scoliosis which required permanent Harrington rods and pins to be placed in her back. RMHC supports families who need assistance while their children are in the hospital if they do not live locally. I was lucky enough to live in Dallas at the time so I could commute back and forth. I met families supported by RMHC while their children were receiving treatment. They were so grateful to be able to stay with their kids during their time in the hospital.
So think about a donation to RMHC to support me in my 10th marathon adventure to help out a family in need. A $25-$80 donation goes a long way for families in need. You spend that much on Starbucks...so give a family a night at RMHC.
Did you know $25 can provide dinner for a family and $80 can give a family a room for a night?
Your donation, of any amount, will not only help me achieve my goal, but will help children stay close to their families when they need it most!
