Welcome to My Personal Page
My little goofball
In 2015 my son was diagnosed with a heart condition and that alone is hard to deal with; but not knowing whether or not he needed surgery, where he would have the surgery, where we would stay while he's having the surgery, or how long he would be in the hospital was the nerve-wracking part!
While trying to figure out the logistics of his surgery; it was nice to know that I had a partner with Ronald McDonald House charities because they would ensure that I could be there for my son when he needed me to be there--and it would not impact my family financially. I thought very long about what charity to represent for this marathon and while there is one charity that speaks specifically to his condition; I think looking at a more global perspective that regardless of the ailment, regardless of the type of disease or type of operation, Ronald McDonald House Charities is there for the child and the family-- so that during their stay, during their time of need, the family is taken care of; not just for my son's heart condition but for my son the person.
On October 7th, I will be representing Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) at the 2019 Bank of America Chicago Marathon!
As a member of Team RMHC, I will be training, fundraising and ultimately running 26.2 miles to help keep families together.
Did you know $25 can provide dinner for a family and $80 can give a family a room for a night? Your donation, of any amount, will not only help me achieve my goal, but will help children stay close to their families when they need it most!
