The Portland House is Turning 25!

When faced with a child’s illness, parents enter a world of fear and worry. For parents, who don’t live close to the medical care their child needs, there’s an added stress - distance. For 25 years, Ronald McDonald House Portland has recognized the financial and emotional toll this takes on families. On May 26, 1995, we opened our doors to offer warm meals, a comfortable place to sleep, and above all, a home away-from-home only a short distance from their child's care.

It was donors like you who made this possible and continue to make it possible, even in these challenging times. Your generosity has meant the world to us and the thousands of families that have turned to us for support. Together, we've shouldered the burden so families didn't have to carry it alone. This month, we not only celebrate the past 25 years of RMH Portland, but all the years to come. 

In honor of this milestone birthday, we have set a goal to raise $25,000 by May 26. Please join our mission with the gift of $25 - that's just $1 for every year of support - or any amount you are able to give. All money raised stays at RMHC Maine!
