3rd times the charm...
Thank you so much for supporting RMHC and Liam's Ladies...and Gents! This organization and this TEAM are truly inspiring! In 2019, I was sidelined due to bone spurs/labrum issues in my hip resulting in surgery. In 2020, well...COVID happened. So this is my third attempt at running the Chicago Marathon for RMHC, and THIS is the year I will make it to the starting line for this amazing charity!
I am running in memory of a dear friend and former co-worker's son, Liam. Lynda has been such an inspiration for me as I started my running journey, so I wanted to give back and run for RMHC for her and Liam. Liam passed away due to cancer at the age of 3, and Lynda and her daughter spent many months in a Ronald McDonald House while Liam was undergoing treatment at University of Chicago.
On October 9th, I will be representing Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) at the 2022 Bank of America Chicago Marathon! As a member of Team RMHC, I will be training, fundraising and ultimately running 26.2 miles to help keep families together.
Did you know RMHC helps millions of families each year? RMHC helps families cope better and focus on the needs of their sick child, allowing them the ability to spend more time with their child, to interact with their doctors, and to make important decisions about their child’s care.
It costs approximately $100 to give a family one night of comfort and support. Your donation, of any amount, will not only help me achieve my goal, but will help children stay close to their families when they need it most!
