Welcome to My Fundraising Page
On October 9th, I will be representing Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) at the 2022 Bank of America Chicago Marathon! As a member of Team RMHC, I will be training, fundraising and ultimately running 26.2 miles to help keep families together.
RMHC helps families cope better and focus on the needs of their sick child, allowing them the ability to spend more time with their child, to interact with their doctors, and to make important decisions about their child’s care. RMHC holds a special place in my families heart as my Mom's sister, Judy, was diagnosed with Leukemia at just 12 years old. She was given only 9 months to live, but with great care, ending up living to 22. Although she was very sick, she was determined to help others and became a nurse in Washington D.C. During this time, RMHC provided a place for my grandparents and their other children to stay. It really became a home away from home for them that provided hope, peace, and comfort so they could stay far away from home and still see Judy while she lived out her dream of being a nurse. Unfortunately, I never got a chance to meet Judy, but would love to run in her honor and help others who are facing similar situations find comfort in a place like RMHC.
Thank you so much for helping me reach my goal! Your donation, of any amount, will not only help me achieve my goal, but will help children stay close to their families when they need it most!
