In September 2004 we arrived at the doorstep of a Ronald McDonald House in Ann Arbor, Michigan.  Pregnant with Nate the Great, we settled into room 16 of the RMH.  The next day we met with doctors and planned for the Nate's delivery and his subsequent surgeries.  We walked across the street to the hospital, and then back to the RMH.  It was so easy and convenient, and knowing that we were across the street from one of the leading pediatric heart centers took a lot of stress out of an incredibly stressful situation.The Ronald McDonald House was more than a place to stay.  I met lifelong friends - Jen, Rachel, Terri, Nicole, and many others.  It really became our home.  

On October 13th, I will be representing Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) at the 2024 Bank of America Chicago Marathon. As a member of Team RMHC, I will be training, fundraising and ultimately running 26.2 miles to help keep families like mine together.

Did you know RMHC helps millions of families each year? RMHC helps families cope better and focus on the needs of their child, allowing them the ability to spend more time with their child, to interact with their doctors, and to make important decisions about their child’s care.

It costs approximately $100 to give a family one night of comfort and support.  Your donation of any amount (literally any amount is awesome) will not only help me achieve my goal, but will help children stay close to their families when they need it most!
