Welcome to Clare's 40th goal- raise for RMCH & run Chicago
On October 13th, I will be representing Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) at the 2024 Bank of America Chicago Marathon! As a member of Team RMHC, I will be training, fundraising and ultimately running 26.2 miles to help keep families together.
Quick story about my running journey - I started running in college did my first marathon in 2005 (hated it!) THEN waited another decade and fell in love. Almost 2 decades later I ran 3 more my last being 2018 - I was hit by a car after the Eugene Marathon- then recovery + having three kids + moving across the country and here I am! In the spring I ran my first East Coast Marathon (and final of my 30s)
Now, the next decade is here and I wanted to find a way to help the community with something I love. I learned that RMHC helps millions of families each year. Now I get to be a part of this!! They help families cope better and focus on the needs of their sick child, allowing them the ability to spend more time with their child, to interact with their doctors, and to make important decisions about their child’s care.
It costs approximately $100 to give a family one night of comfort and support. Your donation, of any amount, will not only help me achieve my goal, but will help children stay close to their families when they need it most!
