JTvH Fundraising for RMHC
On October 13th, I will be representing Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) at the 2024 Chicago Marathon! As a member of Team RMHC, I will be training, fundraising and ultimately running 26.2 miles to help keep families together while their children are experiencing serious illness.
RMHC helps millions of families each year, providing housing and support services, allowing parents and other caregivers the ability to spend more time with their child, to interact with their doctors, and to make important decisions about their child’s care.
Any of us who have cared for a child experiencing serious illness know how hard it is on the whole family. The RMHC program helps reduces stress and financial burden for families when they must travel far from home to access medical care for their child. This makes a huge difference in the lives of these caregivers, and these children. RMHC programs also provide family rooms and mobile programs available to all families.
It costs approximately $100 to give a family one night of comfort and support. Your donation, of any amount, will not only help me achieve my goal, but will help children stay close to their families when they need it most!
This will be my fourth marathon, and my first in Chicago! I'm super excited to run my second of the six Abbott World Major Marathons, after running NYC last fall.
Thank you for supporting my fundraising campaign!
