On October 13th, I will be representing Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) at the 2024 Bank of America Chicago Marathon!  As a member of Team RMHC, I will be training, fundraising and ultimately running 26.2 miles to help keep families together.

Did you know RMHC helps millions of families each year? RMHC helps families cope better and focus on the needs of their sick child, allowing them the ability to spend more time with their child, to interact with their doctors, and to make important decisions about their child’s care.

It costs approximately $100 to give a family one night of comfort and support.  Your donation, of any amount, will not only help me achieve my goal, but will help children stay close to their families when they need it most!

I know this because 10 years ago my niece Samantha was in a near fatal car accident.  She was hospitalized for weeks.  Without the support of RMHC, it would have been very difficult for my sister in law to travel back and forth from home to the hospital to remain close to Samantha's side while she literally fought for her life to survive.  Doctors told us that she would be in a vegetative state for the rest of her life.  Where is Samantha now you ask?  She is a healthy and happy 26 year old, working part time while she is taking college classes.  Although she has long term brain damage, she is working out and can do nearly almost everything.  She is a mom of a beautiful fur baby and her fight and determination puts her among one of the strongest damn kids I know!  Samantha, this run's for you.  Cannot imagine life without you!

I am asking for you to help me pay it forward and donate so I in-turn can help 17.5 families with the fundraising I achieve.
