On October 13th, I will “participate” in the Chicago marathon. I will be one month shy of 62. Equally as curious, I am not a runner! (But I am a dam fast walker….)
So why am I doing this? Because we have been given much, and we have a responsibility to give back. To those who have been given much…..
I am running to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House Charties (RMHC) as part of the “Hearts for RMHC of Kansas City” team.
For 50 years, RMHC has focused on caring for families so they can care for their children. If you, or someone you love, has been in a health crisis that affected a child you would appreciate the magnitude of their work!
There are families that Children’s Mercy tonight that need your support. They need rest, they need support, they need resource. I am running for those families. I am running for their children!
